Description

Vasculitis is a group of disorders that cause inflammation of blood vessels, leading to narrowing, weakening, or scarring of arteries and veins. It can be triggered by autoimmune diseases, infections, or certain medications. Symptoms include: Fever, fatigue, and weight loss, Joint and muscle pain, Skin rashes, ulcers, and numbness in extremities, and Organ damage in severe cases (kidneys, lungs, brain). Doctors diagnose vasculitis using blood tests, biopsies, and imaging (CT scans, MRIs). Treatment includes corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, and biologic therapies to reduce inflammation.
