Dermatitis
Description
Dermatitis refers to inflammation of the skin, which can result in red, itchy, and swollen areas. The most common forms of dermatitis include atopic dermatitis (eczema), contact dermatitis (caused by exposure to irritants or allergens), and seborrheic dermatitis (a chronic form that leads to scaly patches, often on the scalp). The cause of dermatitis can vary and may include allergic reactions, irritants, infections, or genetic factors. Treatment often involves topical corticosteroids, moisturizers, and avoiding known triggers.
